Granny's gone and done it again

I got my outdoor chores done this morning! Yay! I really really don't like the cold so that is a big chore for me haha! I'm itching to do stuff in our garden!! I may start peppers soon. I need to order seeds this month.

Kitty update Biscuit is doing a lot better with his new food, and bouncing around like normal!
Bubbles has a fever this morning and not eating :( Hopefully after resting today she will start feeling better. She is very withdrawn and not herself at all.
Sorry Biscuit is feeling poorly. Considering she just had a total hysterectomy, not totally unexpected. Our girls both canine and feline are always a bit withdrawn and puny for a day or so, then they are bouncing around like crazy.

Did your vet send pain meds home with her? I hope he/she did.

I once had a lady vet who had to have ovarian surgery so she could have a baby. She said afterwards that it was a real eye opener for her. She said she spayed female cats and dogs every day and never gave them any pain meds but when she woke up from having laparoscopic surgery the first thing she asked for was pain meds. From that point on, she told me, all of my female spays are having pain medicine and going home with it.

Our vets now all send home pain meds post spay and even neutering.
I know the feeling. Most people don’t want yo know how you are really feeling. Good friends are hard to find. I have distanced myself from most of my friends with radical liberal views. I am sorry but people should be able to discuss both sides of an issues without becoming unhinged. I am always willing to listen to the other side.
The whole Covid thing I lost a lot of friends because I didn’t get vaccinated. They didn’t want yo be around me. Oh well, my health is more important than a friend like that.

I am a loner naturally. I relate better to animals than most people. I enjoy my dog related stuff I do and hanging out with my grandkids.
:goodpost:
I've lost more friends over one simple rule. Respect my views and I will respect yours and BTW, no political discussions.

I am blessed. I married my best friend and he is sitting next to me on the sofa right now.:love

When I got Betty fixed, the ring around her neck made her extremely itchy and the vet said it's ok to take it off and wear her an infants under shirt. She did well with that. She was a little terror with her cone of shame. She stamped her feet at Butchy Boy and he went running
Pi's in an inflatable 'donut' cone of shame. It's working great except that when she gets too frisky with the cats, they swat at her and wind up with their claws stuck in it. It undoubtedly has a few pin prick holes in it as we have to add air to it every day.

A great DIY for a 'cone of shame' is a pool noodle. Measure it around your dog's head, cut it to fit, run a long shoe lace through it and tie it around their neck. One of our cattle dogs destroyed his E Collar on the way home from the vet. The only thing he tolerated was the pool noodle.

That's too funny about the cats! Haha
And a good idea about the pool noodle. Our bedroom is unheated and her cone used to get so cold over night and she couldn't burrow under the covers
