Granny's gone and done it again

How long have you lived in this rental? Would you have someone to take them if you did need to find another place?
We have lived here a year and a half, the landlords are close friends though, and have a farm themselves. They have been very supportive and helpful of everything self-sustaining/farming related we try to do. Honestly they would probably let us put up a full fence if we wanted, but they mow hay on either side of us and blocking their path would be rather rude. They would probably take the geese themselves, or there are people up the road on either side of use who could. I have kept geese before, thats something I can do. I would like to again, but I was mostly joking, I want the goats for mowing yes, but more for milk. Perhaps electric fences for rotational grazing? I feel like they would just ignore the shock and jump/crawl through.

Anyway good morning.
Two weeks since my surgery. My DH is taking me off the disabled list. :hit
Haha! That's the worst part! Being unable to do anything is the worst... until suddenly they say you have to go back to it all and you don't feel anywhere near ready!!

If you want raw milk, we have a co op here where you can go and help milk to get your milk each week. These are cows
We get raw milk down the road, but of course we have to buy it. I would love to do somelike that, i wonder if there is something like that near me? Of course, I have 5 kids under 10, I cant leave them to go milk somewhere. I can leave them in the house while I go out back though. 😕 😞

Also I think goats milknis healthier, I have always wanted 1 since i have milk production problems and it's safe for babies. But i suppose my baby days are done so cows milk should be ok.

I hope you feel better today
♥️ Thank you. Pain is the same but don't think Im gonna barf now.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I say go for it! IDK a thing about goats or geese except milk from one and eggs from the other. Do you have chickens? I hear quail is good eating.

Yes, we have a small flock of 9 we are expanding to about 20 this year. The eggs are on day 10! Our coop is big enough, but part of it needs to be updated so we are expanding it also.

The nausea with the pain is so bad. I can take pain.. but when it adds nausea I just cant move! 😵 thats when I always end up sleeping through the pain. I'm glad that part is done! Now DONT PUSH IT and the pain will get better too. ❤️

Good morning all. Slept terrible so slept late. Ended up taking brace off about 2 a.m., that helped!

You need at least 2 goats, they get lonely alone. The most recent goats i had were Nigerian Dwarf goats.
Did you drink the milk, make yogurt or cheese?

Anyway good morning.

I think you were talking to the one who had the goats? For me we drink goat and cow, we prefer goat though. I make a gallon of yogurt a week, would make more if we had supplies, it goes quickly. I have only made yogurt cheese/old fashioned cottage cheese. I want to get into cheese making, i havnt tackled that one yet though. 😋
