Granny's gone and done it again

I hope you get a new wheelchair soon! You have a lot of patience wanting to be up and around but can't. You still get a lot of things done. Keep up the good work!
Sweet of you to say so, darling, but I'm getting a whole lot of nothing done right now. I'm in my recliner 24/7 except when I wheel myself down the hall to the bathroom once or twice a day (mostly I use the bedside commode, but, well, you know). And that's about it. Tonight I did wheel myself into the kitchen and made myself a little pot of oatmeal since the family was eating plain cheese pizza and I needed some real food. I really want vegetables, carrots, broccoli, zucchini ... but nobody cooks those things but me.

Just home from the neurosurgeon. Neck surgery first as soon as possible. Good thing I didn't put it off any longer. Already have two vertebrae fused together in my neck. Lower back later. Spinal cord being crushed in places. The the pathway is going to be opened up. The doc put the MRI disk I had from last year in and showed us the fused vertebrae as well as where the spinal cord was being pinched. After that I got an updated MRI today and will see him again Tuesday to schedule neck surgery.

Cooking and baking in a wheel chair sounds like allot to me!
