Granny's gone and done it again

Fluttershy bruised my hand this morning. Luckily she still only had 15 eggs. Hopefully she's stopped laying more.

I honestly do you think that y'all were just over exaggerating or just cutting up. My eyes have been open.

I had a hen so protective of her eggs she would kill the chicks protecting the eggs. "Killer". Take that hen and multiply by 10 and that was my roo.

We did talk about that. Said I didn't want some enraged parent coming after him, and since he's the boy, he will get the blame.


Oh, many many talks. Hope it all sunk in. Time for a refresher, I guess. He is actually a very level headed and thoughtful kid. He's had girls as good friends over the years, but now at almost 16... hormone time!

that's right. Hormones will make even the greatest kids in the world do things that they should not do. I mean hey let's face it most of us as teens did things to

I have 4 broody Serama, one Orp, and 2 Ameraucana. They all squall and puff up, but none of them are mean. Mean was the blue Wyandotte. She would bite when I checked under her. Pulled my sleeve down over my hand so it didn't hurt so much and just ignored her. She got less bitey, but maybe because she got less broody and gave up after 2 weeks. Having chicks would probably make them worse... except my Orp. She was good even with her chicks.

Ok, whose been talking to Henny, penny,ethyl,Lucy,& Rosie? Got 18 eggs by 3pm. Wonder how many they will lay if i hang the kill cone on the corner post of their pen.

Baked lemon pepper chicken leg quarters with ranch dressing. Yum. GD ate the crispy skin only.
