Ayuh. 70% should keep you nicely into the safe range. Good luck!!Will that be ok for the chicks too? None of hem has piped yet. The duck has though.
Yes. It might raise a bit during hatching, that's fine. As long as the glass doesn't fog up too much. And do I keep it there entire time?

How exciting! I'm with Jane... want to see some pics tomorrow... pleeeeeease!Good evening everybody. What do I need to raise the humidity to during lockdown? I put hem in lockdown yesterday and kelp he humidity around 50 to 60. The duck egg has pipped and some of the others are rocking.

I might not be understanding right, but I don't think you should put chicks under a hen that gets chased off the nest. She is not dominant enough (or hormonal enough) to keep the chicks safe. If she would be in a safe area with the chicks, it would probably be fine. I think the crazy broody needs those chicks to expend some of her crazy broodiness.Went a couple rounds with mama hen again today. Hopefully she'll learn that I'm going to pick her chicks up no matter what. I got another broody. She won't stay on them because the other hens chase her off. And if I move her she won't sit. What do yall think about after the chicks are dry me putting them under her and removing the egg?
thanks wishing. She just about stays broody. She's tried to stay on he eggs before but she's the smallest hen that I have. She takes the pecks from the head hen bu eventually has to move. I feel bad for her. She wants o be a mama so bad.Sounds miserable.
That was a close game! So many good players on both teams!
