Unless they a sick I can't bring myself to do chicks. I have to let them grow a bit, plus I try to find homes for them, but that's darn near impossible. If I had acreage I would grow them out, but I just don't have the space & have too close of neighbors for them to have to listen to 30 roosters crowing all day long.

Maybe good news Lisa, a symptom ! His ears were red and inflamed so he got ear drops with steroids and antibiotics , and melatonin for bed. Also found out (at the drs) he stopped his zertec and flonase because he was better. He is back on it now .

Spent the last hour washing egg cartons. While doing that I noticed that there are 3 commercial poultry farms in MI, probably more. Out of those 3 farms I saw a doz of extra LG eggs priced at .59, .89 & 1.19 Another supplier had Jumbo's for 1.29 a dozen. How can they afford to do that? Shoot the one I could barely buy a new carton for the price they are charging.

that's why we have such of a big problem here too I think. Walmart sales a dozen large eggs for under a dollar

We have a cellar but u have to go outside to go in it. It's 16x16 & under son's bedroom. Power blinking off & on.

You did a good thing. My sis is finally having her cat put down tomorrow.

I think when you're ready you should definitely get another. The joy that they give us while they're here is worth it. Every time I have an animal go I always tell myself I'll never get another. Then a little later I think about how much pleasure that they bring me and I always get more lol. Right now I'm still saying no more cats. That is until we see one that we can't resist
