Granny's gone and done it again

I have to fold dh's shirts & pack his suitcase. Taking him to airport about 3pm. So im Doing laundry also.

How long is he going to be gone for this time? My hubs hasn't had to go on a business trip for over a year now. I have mixed feeling about it!!!

Some may stink, but others have lovely scents!

I like the scented geraniums. Lemon was lovely. They're not as pretty as petunias, though.

Well, I cooked the lamb and the pork loin. Robert said lamb made him dizzy with all the smells in his mouth. He said it was Baaaab. Tom refused to taste it because it was med. rare. I found it a little tough but delicious. They both liked the seasoned pork loin and ate quite a bit of it. I tasted it and thought it good as well but knew I had a lot of lamb to do something with. I ate half of one of the thigh steaks so Tons of left over. Lost my mashed potatoes so quickly made some mac& cheese and yellow squash .

You liked the lamb!! It's very good cold too... make a sandwich, on a salad. yum! Dare I ask? ... what did you mean by you lost your mashed potatoes?


We are grilling tri-tip, squash ans asparagus. I made macaroni salad and coleslaw. Will probably smash some taters and have onions and mushrooms in a red wine sauce to go with the meat. My dad is coming over. Bro is in Vegas, Sis is thinking of staying home... too many fireworks going off in her town... one of few where they are legal in the whole county! She said people were shooting off the illegal types all night last night, and right near her house, along the creek, there is a very large, very dry old pine tree just waiting for a spark to send it up like a Roman candle!

This is what I meant, Granny. I used to keep them around my front porch. it was such a nice homecoming in the evening. Made me set stuff down and putter around for a while before going in. Now I just go straight to the chickens to top off feed and water etc. They don't stink, but still not as sweet smelling as those petunias!
