Kiki one time I directed the exhaust fumes from my car to underneath my house to run out some skunks. I just had a piece of flexible tubing big enough to o fit over my exhaust and reach to where I wanted it to go. Cranked up the car and let it run a bit

Now I'm not saying you should or shouldn't do this, it just worked for me

Granny...could your hand be hitting the pad thingy when you are typing?
Sometimes/a lot of times those pad thingies start to wear out...do things on there own.
There is a test you can run on it to make sure it is working properly but there is no way in the world I would walk you though that test.

You might just keep an eye on your screen...if you notice it starting to highlight click else where on the screen to un select it.
