I think the whole state maybe doing that soon.

There was a grass fire right off of I -94 on the north side sunday. Robert said it wasn't there when he came in but the fire was out when he went home.
thats so scary, If a fire started at the farm the yaks could bolt ?

NOT sure there is still some water in ponds and such in the creek and some green grass/weeds and it would have to jump roads if it came from the west or north and even for the most part from the east.

My "good neighbor" to the east did NOT even bother haying his hay field to the south of my place this year and that's about 100 to 120 acre field. Nothing there.
Twist, What is a hay field ? I thought it was just the weeds grow tall, dry up and you cut and bundle them ?

not good. I remember a few years back that we had a drought . We had one narrow stream where the river use to be. Then once we got so much rain that the entire boat landing was under water.
Twist I really hope that you get some rain soon. I'll definitely be praying for it.

Well his is land not good enough or to sloped for crop land and TO good for pasture. Mix of alapha and brome and some native grass.

You do NOT want to cut the hay when it is brown as it has lost most of the "good nutritional value" and then is basically good for bedding and filling the stomach.
