Spike is a girl. She looks so good too. I would not of recognized her. Thanks for the picture !

She has the greenest feathers, so pretty. Her wattles and comb are redder than they show in the pic. They've always been pinkish, but not cockerel red... well, the wattles have been pretty red, and huge at 5 weeks. She still acts like a boy. There was a noise today that sounded like someone trying to crow. sigh. Sure hope I don't have another one of THOSE!

Twist, last year they baled corn stalks here during our drought. Pasture grass died & there was no hay to buy.
