Dropped off the planet for a minute lol. Was youtubing trying to find out what is causing major leaf curling in a good share of our 50 tomato plants. This growing season is just making me sick. If it's not the bugs, viruses or weather it's the Ahole that is setting a big farm stand 1/2 mile down the road from us, but he isn't trying to put us out of business, so he says. Tell me who is going to drive down a half mile to a farm stand if they can stop at the one at the intersection up the road. This man has had a business in 2 other locations over the past few years & has failed with both. Now he talked a investor friend into purchasing a old farm & acreage that he is building a big produce stand on. He will have direct road access, we dont. We were forced to take down our advertising sign last summer at the end of the road. So essentially the last 4 years has been for fun !

Maybe you need to find a good market you can sell at. The world is full of jerks and assholes, you just have to work around them.

Welp y'all I'm calling it a night. Gonna try to read on a new book and hope it's a good one. I went to Ollies yesterday and found a few cheap. But couldn't find the 1st one of the series so I ordered it. Trying to hold off so I can read it in order.

My son bought me a kindle for xmas one year. I love it, for $10 a month i download all i can possibly read.

I can have a sign made for my car, but wouldn't do much good. 95% of the week my car never leaves the garage. We have a sign right out at the stand, but that is the only one that's legal. We tried just putting a sign up for the weekend that said just SALE with an arrow pointing our way. Put it out Friday night, took down on Sunday. The same as anyone can for a garage sale. Guy took the sign down & didn't give it back. He left a message on our answering machine telling us that "I'm sure you don't want me snooping around looking for violations, do you?"

First sorry for the troubles.
I am sure you have regulars that buy from you correct? They should still be coming to you even with the competition.
He has had how many businesses fail in the past few years? He may not last very long and the "investor" can request their investment back. The investor owns it all and with the guy's past failures I doubt her is going to be willing to pump much more into the venture. He may have the better location but he has had 2 other failures.
Just keep the faith in what you have and eve if a few regulars stray they most likely will be back when he fails this time.
