Granny's gone and done it again

:frow Finally caught up!

I make my own sports drink for use on sweaty days. i.e. SUMMER.

My recipe uses Sodium Bicarb for the salt. I think this would help you with the stomach distress you describe. Also, the added salts and sugar are supposed to allow faster absorption of the water. 6% carbohydrate is recommended.

My Kooleratorade
1/2 tsp Baking soda (sodium)
1/8 tsp Nu Salt (potassium)
*1/3 cup sugar OR
*5/8 cup sugar (10 tbsp) orig recipe to get 6%carb (too sweet for me)
1 pkt unsweetened kool-aid, wylers, etc. any flavor
OR instead of kool-aid, 1/2 cup orange juice OR 1/4 cup lemon juice
Water to make 2 liters

This link explains and offers variations. Note, Morton Lite contains both sodium and potassium. Homemade Sports Drink

I do drink lots of water as my main beverage as well as an "occasional" Dr Pepper.;)

That is not a medication you can just stop taking. Call and demand to speak to the doctor, or at very least the nurse. Explain it to them.
