Hubs just found out what I'm planning with broody.

He does not approve. Thinks the other girls will pick on chicks. Well. Just means I'll have to build a new brooder in the dog run that'll handle a mama hen.

Actually would be good to have for any instances of quarantine or separation too.

I planted 4 tomato plants in buckets. They say that the plant is bad for the chickens but haven't had a problem yet. They ate all 4. Tried to keep them out of them but everytime I turned my back or come inside, they were on them.

I bet they all team up and knock you down lol?

only thing I grew on my bucket tomatos was some humongous worms . Chickens loved them AND My plan for the kaltaba tree is working !

Trying to keep up with the birds, jam making & yard work makes it crazier. I always look forward to the slow pace of winter. Just not the snow & cold.
