Super exciting LAUNDRY! There is a mountain of it.

Okay, you have beat me in the excitement department. :p

Jane, email the counselor all the info for your GS. Then there is no excuse and they can't blame you. You will still have to go in to show residency documents, but times sure have changed since I was teaching and it is all done online now. I feel like such a dinosaur.

Black humor?
Boy, you really started something with this question! But Benny is right, the rules for "color" depend on whether you are talking about pigment or light. (I taught a little art as well as science) White light (sunlight) has all the color wavelengths mixed up together, and that makes it look white. When it hits a pigment, some colors are absorbed, and some are reflected. If the pigment is red, all the colors except red are absorbed. The red wavelengths are reflected and that's what your eyes see. If you have black pigment, it absorbs all the colors, and none reach your eyes, making it look black. You make black pigment by having all colors of pigment mixed together, which absorbs all the light. White pigment reflects all the light. So you weren't wrong, just talking about the other side of the same coin. The Art side!

My soon to be 16 yr old really wants to learn to weld. As soon as he gets his drivers license, he can take some classes at the jr college. Maybe I will buy him a respirator!

My mom always wished for a flamethrower! Her answer to getting rid of things in her way. (clutter, weeds, bad drivers...) Sadly, she never got one, but at least it kept her out of prison. :D
Yes indeed but now there is a big quastion!
If black absorb light, and nothing reflect from it, how do we see it?
