Granny's gone and done it again

I am so frustrated with the gardens this year. It's either too much rain, not enough rain, too hot, not hot enough, blight & different bugs destroying all the plants. I am so over this year. Just too much painful work to watch it being destroyed by nature. I even had to start a fire today in the fire pit to burn some zucchini leaves & stems. Cucumber beetles are reeking havic. The whole underside of the leaves were coated with eggs. Never seen it so bad. Have already treated whole garden 3 times for the cucumber beetle. Got Japanese beetles eating my green bean leaves to pieces, that is any of the leaves that aren't covered in rust. Grr....... better stop while I'm ahead lol.
I am so sorry, it must be hard to go to all that work and have Mother Nature screw with you. Gardens are such hard work.

Thank you H2o, they are so much work, but I like to can things, plus I sell extra veggies & such on our roadside stand. Unfortunately my back problems are making it more & more difficult to do the work. I don't know how much longer I will be able to do it. That's what scares me the most.

ya'll , Its cold out.
Cold? Snowing?

I love teen fiction. I have read some awesome ones.
I have to admit I like the adventure books from the teen section that my rugrats pick up. Romance---blech.

Currently they're going through the Ranger's Apprentice series. I like it, quite well written and a good break from the 'magic' theme that seems recurring.
