yep my son looked at me like I was a nut last time he was here because I was talking to my chickens by names. He said, daddy, you really know which is which outta 30 chickens by names lol. Sometimes I talk about Henry , pearl, Brittney spurs, Dolly par-hen and all the rest and people think I'm talkin about friends and relatives lol.

When i had goats (up to 100 at one point) , they all had names and knew what they were. They would come running when i called them! Goat stampede i called it. See who gets the feed first. Used to make up songs to sing them while we went on walks in the woods. When i get this coop built, a goat shed will be next.

I was honestly kinda down when they pulled up and I realized what kinda mule she was talking about. I was already making plans in my head about me and the mule riding off into the sunset.

I'm sure he'll be a great dad. I didn't know that I wanted one until I seen him born. I was amazed and feed him, changed him, bathe him and everything else even though my then wife didn't work. I had to be at work at 5 am and I'd still give him his 3 am feedings. Lisa's right. A lot of us men will surprise you. I was a tough, mean , no nonsense man that would tell you right quick that I didn't want kids. But once I found out she was prego, I was supportive. Well I wasn't mean but you didn't want to cross me. It did scare me to think at the time that I was going to be a dad. It took some getting use to being called a dad lol. Kinda weird at first.

He's just had some...shall we say dysfunctional family times himself that no doubt has him concerned.

He's now in the shower while I make dinner. I'll be talking to him tonight. Gulp.

Nah, they wear mouth guards. Yeah, black eyes they get in fights. Duke it out, boys! I had a black eye in my senior picture. Luckily i had make up.
