Yeah, two years ago. I went on a tour. Didn't go to the "touristy" places however. We went all over. Going again in October, once it cools down.

I know I have to downsize but I still have to water if I can keep ANY then I need a better way. Cold messes with the heart .

We HAVE to figure out a way for you to keep a few thru the winter. What about a few in cages in the pole barn?

Each pail holds 2 gallon, each dish holds 2 gallons. So 4 gallons for 30 birds, sorry confusing

The coop is 100 feet from the house?

Our coop will be about that far, uphill all the way so the hose will drain easily. I used to tote cat litter plastic jug containers full of hot water to the chickens in TN.

I have heaters. Not a problem, electric in one coop and an extention cord to the other also not a problem. Draining that hose is a big problem and spending too much time out there is too. Would love to have water supply that will last a few days without needing refilled .

The problem is not heating the water, it is getting it to the coop that is the problem. Could you put it in a wagon to pull it up there or drive the car?

see, I wonder if my hose was up in the air close to the coop then I would have to unhook it from the house and it would drain ?
