Good morning sweet peeps! I slept in till almost 7:30! Woke up snuggled with a sweet kitty. HE let the dogs and chickens out do I could sleep. Wasn't that nice!? Hardly any rain last night, seems it was mostly to the south west and slipped south east. Fine by me!

I dreamed Granny was gifted by a good neighbor with a buried water line from her spigot to her coop. I hope it happens! And Granny, you looked gorgeous! Funny huh? Since I've never even seen a photo of you. :lau

Been in the garden and grow room this morning getting fall stuff ready. It's August, so time to think ahead for seedlings and cuttings. Since the henhouse and run are in their spots now, I can think of plantings there too. I rooted some Rose of Sharon cuttings this spring. Going to plant a couple to shade the run from the southwest. Maybe put a couple in huge pots to flank the door on the south side too. They'll be pretty as foundation plantings there.

Heading out to paint more today, soon as I put away the left over sausage gravy and biscuits I made HE for breakfast.

Oh! HE Found a very solid old doggloo (igloo shaped doghouse) on the curbside a whole back. I'm putting it in a good spot, will slowly work on an enclosure, and eventually make it my cuy house. Im going to bribe HE with thoughts of homemade cuy/chicken sausage. He loves sausage.

whats wrong with a shovel ?

for starters YOU can/should NOT be doing it. and you have to go down to the main like. At least on the farm that's 10 to 15 feet down. Our frost line is 3 feet I believe , Pretty sure all concrete footings go that deep as well
