Wink, Your scaring me.Check goodwill, garage sales, thrift shops and load up on slow cookers! You will need them! Also muffin tins, cookie sheets, pizza pans, large roasting pans, big mixing bowls. All come in very handy with a bunch of hungry kids around. It'll make life easier for you!
Breakfast do-aheads:if your slow cooker has a timer, use it. If it has an on/off switch use a lamp timer, but experiment to be sure it will work. Then soak oatmeal in water covered overnight in slow cooker with sugar or other sweetener, fruit, whatever (not meat or dairy), set it to turn on and have it ready for the morning. Even just soaking it in a covered pan on the stove makes it cook faster and better. You can put together a breakfast casserole using bread, eggs, bacon/ham/sausage/ground meat, veggies! Lots of recipes online. My kids loved pb&j on toast in a pinch. You can bake eggs in muffin tins in the oven. Top with breakfast meats, veggies, hot sauce, etc. Breakfast pizzas on homemade dough or bread are cheap and a sure hit! Make ahead pancakes, waffles, French toast and freeze in single servings to reheat in oven, toaster or microwave. You can fit a lot of those stacked in a small space.
You can freeze gallons of milk. Takes about a day to thaw in the fridge. You can also mix half a gallon of regular fresh milk with half a gallon of mixed up powdered milk to stretch it/save $ and no one will be able to tell.
Tom really aint able to help. He does what he can.Granny, we are all pulling for you. You can do this. Maybe this is the catalyst Tom and Robert need to learn how to pitch in and help. Families are forever.
