Mine free range most all day , usually from daylight till dark but they are spoiled, it Lauren ain't hand feeding them Sue is. They eat better than I do !!!LOLI have so many freeloaders, in a couple of weeks we are doing a roo harvest & them freeloaders are going in the pot too. I have never had birds eat like these birds do. They are eating me out of house & home & then have the nerve to not lay. I have a batch of 25 young hens that will be replacement for some of those freeloaders.
Surprisingly it isn't as sore as I figured it would be. I been trying to move it so it don't get difficult to move and I wanted to make sure I didn't cut no nerves .There both looking good. Finger is going to be tough to heal with it on your knuckle.
We've been having very unseasonably cool weather for most of Aug. Even turn the heat on this morning to knock the chill off. Nights are getting down in the 40's this week. The leaves on the trees are starting to turn colors already. I'm praying that we are going to have a warm Indian summer September since August has been so cool.I'm far away but I expect some cooler weather from the storm
Good idea, keep it mobileSurprisingly it isn't as sore as I figured it would be. I been trying to move it so it don't get difficult to move and I wanted to make sure I didn't cut no nerves .

I managed to keep the air off today even with canning.I just came in a little bit ago from working on the coop. No pictures, it was too dark. The door in the divider is on, and i am about half done with that divider. I am glad i made the door, it will be easier. I will be building nest boxes soon, and assembling runs. So excited to get the guineas and three chickens in there! Husband claims he can smell them in the chicken tractor 200 feet from the house! Ha! He is smelling the poop under the brooder, but i am not telling!
I was out there playing with the chicks. I need to start picking up each one and put it in a bin so i know they all get handled.
Did i tell you i was caulking the house for a while today? Probably more of the same tomorrow.
The weather is SO much better! No ac on in the house today, which means it never got over 80! And the humidity is down! Much better, but still get hot when i work. Lost 4 pounds in 4 weeks while building the coop. Now if i can lose a pound a week for the rest of the year i will be getting somewhere!
Four months to Christmas eve!
