Granny's gone and done it again

Here's my 2 cents... We eat a lot of noodles with chili on top. We call it chili size (like Bobs Big Boy used to make.) Canned chili is pretty cheap, has meat & beans & is fast to make. If you can make up a big pot from scratch & freeze it it'll be even cheaper. If LG (Little Guy) doesn't like the chili give him noodles with butter.

I agree that you should forget about the hot dog buns & just use bread.

Put some bowls down where the kids can reach them. Have them pour their own cereal on Saturday & Sunday mornings so you can get 5 extra minutes of sleep. Tell them they need to help pour it out for LG.

They are old enough to make PB&J sandwiches themselves for lunch on Saturdays & Sundays. Again, tell them to make one for LG.

Seems like that leaves you needing 7 cheap, easy dinners. Theres nothing wrong with making the same things every week on the same nights, that way everyone knows what to expect & you wont have to think too much about it.

(example...)
Monday - Meatloaf & instant mashed potatoes (with butter, forget the gravy.)
Tuesday - Tacos or rice & beans.
Wednesday - Hot dogs with bread & apple sauce.
Thursday - Spaghetti with or without meat.
Friday - Frozen TV dinner or Frozen chicken pot pies.
Saturday - Chili & noodles.
Sunday - Breakfast for dinner - Pancakes or scrambled eggs with toast.

(or even easier...)
Monday - Hot dogs
Tuesday - Frozen TV dinner
Wednesday - Spaghetti
Thursday - Hot dogs
Friday - Frozen TV dinner
Saturday - Spaghetti
Sunday - Meatloaf & applesauce

Popcorns probably cheaper & healthier than chips & makes a great before bed snack.

Last but not least Granny, if you feed those boys hot dogs every single night, THATS OK!!! They are safe with you & being cleaned, fed, educated & loved. Nothing else matters. :hugs

Thank you for that. Makes me feel better.
Thanks everyone for the tips. I will be using them all.

Mornings, fall weather this day. High 60, windy and 4inches of rain possible. Thanks Harvy.
My tree finally got planted yesterday. the hose washed the aphids right off. Used 2 bags of mulch and it had white stuff (mold?) on it . I hosed that as well and now the rain. All 3 of the bigger boys dug the hole but they all dug in different spots. LOL
Today is payday so shopping and back to DMV to get the car legal.
