I'm getting 5!! And she's going to keep them for me til the water goes down. : Maybe I can work on making these tame.

I want mine wild so they stay away from pooping on my porch.

My wild ones used to roost outside the kitchen window and holler if you snuck in for a snack.

I want mine tame so the kids can get a good close look, maybe feed them.

Dh wants to pay someone to bush hog a patch of kudzu & hedges behind the barn. I said take that money & buy me 2 goats. We can tie them to cement blocks & let them eat it down. I would have to check on them several times as I went about my chores & put them in our little pasture at night. All doable. Want a male & female so we get a baby & cAn milk her.

They need a place to get out of the rain. Can catch pneumonia easily.

Can they even tame? I thought as a breed they were skittish as all heck.

Sigh. Disgruntled today. Hubs set out a vague post for a BBQ at our place tonight a while back. So here I am cleaning my face off while he sits.

(Story of my life...bright side I FINALLY got him to hang something for me that I've been begging him to do since we moved in lol.)

Oh. Best part. No one can be bothered to really rsvp. So we may have people show up. We may not. Gaaaaahhhh

I don't know how some of u have been working so hard in the heat. I went out to make two cuts on sheet of plywood & I am exhausted & over heated now. 83* feels like 85*.

They are considered wild fowl. I was not able to tame mine but thats just me. I know a woman that has hers very tame. One rode on her littles shoulder. Me thinks it takes a lot of effort and when it comes time to breed it is for nought.

I was going to clean this weekend but so far I've only managed to clear up the dvr.

I don't think guineas are ever as tame as pets, but I've seen videos and heard of folks who could get them to stand on their shoulders for treats!

I'd settle for "just out of arm's reach" for tameness. Currently when they see campers, they head for the trees. Except once when they stood on top of the coop and hollered. That way fun. Maybe I'll throw millet on the roof when I go over, so they learn to go up there?
