Does he like his teacher this year? He worked so hard last year. People sending their kids to school sick is why everyone keeps getting sick. Used to drive my crazy when a parent would bring an obviously sick kid to school. Oh, she wanted to come... like that matters when my kid sits right next to her. I brought my kid home to avoid him getting sick and missing extra school.

I think he likes her! I guess I need to call and see if I can get his next few days of work. Or maybe I'll go too and he can sit on my lap and I'll make sure he washes his hands and doesn't kiss the girls.

other sister in springhill said there isnt a way to evac. now. No gas ,water, food nothing now in the stores.

See, that is what i mean about being prepared. There was lots of stuff there last week.

wonder why springhill isnt under mandatory ?

They get the people in big cities evacuated because it is densely populated. Small towns they don't worry about.

Only part of her county in under mandatory... coastal and low lying areas in zones A and B and anyone living in mobile homes. If they can't evacuate, they should go to a shelter.

Im 1/2 way up Georgia/Alabama line & am prepared. I don't like to be thirsty, hungry, or in the dark. Gotta get things secured from the wind. My uncle Edward died during hurricane Andrew. He lived in Hollywood, fl. I have cousins who live in Miami, but I don't have any contact with them. They are my mother's oldest brother's children.

I transplanted some of my little baby lime basils and I'm going to bring them to my BFF! This thing spreads like crazy!

And they're so threatening about truancy! One school near us has proposed/enacted (can't remember) charging $3 for tardiness.
