I just do the baby bottle test that way I know its not to cold or hot and dont sit it too close to the heat .

For the keets I sat their cup of water near the heat til it warmed up, then gave it to them and sat the next cup next to the heat.

LOL I usually use a therometer and do about 90* for the first few days. So basically the same temp as the brooder room

I am so grumpy today! First i was trying to get the gutters up on the coop. It is slightly off level, and drains the opposite direction i needed it to go. I redid it like 4 times, and was pretty frustrated then i got a bunch of dumb questions about my kitten ad and then i got stung by a bee! I bet i could punch a bull right now and it would fall over.
