I read they stop yawning when they are ready. If they are still yawning they are still absorbing . I of course have no clue.

That's a good general indicator. Sometimes they can not yawn and still be not quite ready, but if you see yawning it's a definite indicator to get your hands off.

No, but a visiting NDer died like that. Very traumatic, we still talk about it sometimes.
