Granny's gone and done it again

also took a peek at the beets  some are bigger then softballs.
Grandpa went out to the garden to pick something that Grandma wanted, & came back with a 4lb white radish that had evidently been planted the previous year, lived through a central IL winter & continued to grow. We ate it; it tasted just fine.

Snowflake's last ling didn't make it. :hit It looks like it was stuck. It felt cold, I should've put it in the bator to warm up I guess. I just couldn't try.

Fluttershy is our last hope. :fl

Sorry, Camp. That is awful. I didn't know ducks had so much trouble hatching.

I think it was Benny who would say a broody, on average, would have only around a 20% hatch rate in the wild. Obviously some will have better rates than others. They're first time broodies, not quite a year old yet, and duck eggs are very hard. Maybe we'll have better luck in the spring. :fl

my hands wont let me do too many. One an hr. terrible.
I think feeding to snake is not cool. It would take much longer to die and Enola fed frozen mice for sure, dont know about chicks. It dont matter how the head comes off as long as its a clean cut and fast.
Flat top stump + sharp hatchet + chicken = done deal.
