lattice is about chewed up. its no good. read the ad, it says it graduates from 4x8in. to 6x?

I did read it. The mesh goes from 8x4 at the bottom to 8x6 at the top. I'm assuming to keeping littles in. Or because it's a defect. Doesn't matter if he can fit through it.

How is the perch attached ?

The perch has 2 screws that were put into the end of the branch from outside. The other end is screwed into the divider.
