Granny's gone and done it again

She’s a EE that lays light blue eggs. Hatched on Easter this year.

I’ve not had a broody yet. Thought my BO was broody but she still laid eggs. She just acted broody.

Lol, I ain't bitchy I am broody!

Fluttershy hatched her baby, but she won't take care of it. I found it wedged under the fence, rescued it, and put it under her. 20 mins later she had pushed it 2ft away again. So now I have a bathroom duck, just like nature intended. Fingers crossed for the sweet little ling. It's still got a little bit of yolk, not nearly to worst I've ever seen. Hoping getting warm will help a bit.

I had decided to splint little Webby and hope for the best, but when I went for her she was no longer. Too bad, because she really had seemed to be doing ok.

Sorry Camp, you haven't had much luck with the lings. Hope spring will be more successful for your lings hatching.

Thanks Lisa. I think it will go better once they're a bit older. Actually, Racecar still has 4 eggs. Well, maybe 3... I didn't see one when I looked just now. But it might have been under the shavings.

Yep it did, but now you know so many more people, from many more states that would be willing to ship you eggs to hatch in the spring

Think I'm going to get a snack & try to get to bed earlier. Boys will be up at 6:30 looking for homemade pancakes. We played so hard today outside that the almost 4 yr old asked if he could go to bed tonight, lol. They both were out in 5 minutes. Hope you all get restful sleep & have sweet dreams for all.
