the roots yeppers and the beets are nice and "earthy" tasting and the turnips are sort of peppery like a mild radish good in stews/soups , plain with butter and s/p or mashed like taters.

I have had and made turnip roots. a bit bitter to me. but ok .

I give the cooked tops, tails and peels to the chickens. So currently everything at the farm is pooping purple Including Rod and Robert who are busy eating older canned
pickled beets.
