Granny's gone and done it again

Granny - she’s coming down November 6th. First time she’s come and seen me since I was in college (so been over 12 years now)
“I never had to come visit you, you’d always come here!”

It’ll be good for her though. Change of scene and all that after losing her puppers :/ (expected, but still hard)

Haven’t seen her in four years (last time I went to ottawa)

I used to go back to visit the fam every year/two years or so but since immigration crap took over my life I haven’t. When I had my AP (travel documents before my green card was issued) and when my green card was unexpired I couldn’t afford to fly back. Now that I can my green card is expired and I have a dubious piece of paper from USCIS, so that “technically” I can travel and it’s “the same as my green card expiration being pushed up a year” but in all honesty I fear customs officers not recognizing it for what it is and getting hassled/missing flights/living in my mother’s basement.

GD went to school as a Shopkin. Trick-or-treating at school today. They are outta school Monday & Tuesday. PTO tonight for Pre-K program.

Isn't that the weirdest thing, shopkins.... little things resembling stuff you buy in the store, i.e. Can of corn, ect
