I try to go to other thrift stores if possible... many are run by hospice folks around here. Goodwill is a FOR PROFIT enterprise. They are not a charity. Salvation Army is way better as far as where the money goes. I won't donate to Goodwill anymore either. But you can get great deals there. It's is where #2 found his complete set of unscratched flatware for $13, including serving forks and spoons and butter knives! He is getting prepared to move out!!
I never do that but I actually did once while he was here and one whack. He laughed for 10 mins. Hurt my handyupper(except on the backside)
I know this about them. they help themself.
