my GM just singed (sp?) the rest off of the ducks . She also saved all the down for pillows. I LOVED my pillow . Everynight I would pull a feather out of the seam and examine it very carefully. Now I know there were chicken feathers too because they dont have barred rock ducks . I slept with that pillow for 30 yrs or more and havent found another good one since

Not raising them for meat. Might do some meat chickens in the spring. Never did that before.

I will never do meat chickens again. Those are the friendliest birds you will ever own. sweet as can be.

it lasted over 30 yrs ! the ticking went bad and mom replaced it and it wasnt the same anymore.

1.) a sweet young thing at the shower tonight watched me decorate a male anatomy cookie and listened to my racey jokes. I joked that we were going to be best friends and when she left we hugged and she said "bye mrs. camping."

2.) I LOVE dressing up and wearing makeup. I did that today at the BFFs house for the shower. She said she was wearing the oldest shirt she owned, and she never wears makeup. We're not much alike.

3.) my ducks are still naked as little jay birds but they don't get very close to the heat anymore. It was in the low 30s last night and they were right on the "edge" of the heat. Not saying to adjust the temp, just telling you what mine do.
