Granny's gone and done it again

14eggs/22hens is pretty good without supplimental light. 4 of the hens are freeloading polish who haven't laid an egg since before9/23. They all are eating fermented wheat today & tomorrow. Waiting on wheat to sprout so they can eat something green. Their yolks are already orange. I love my healthy chickens.
Can you tell me the easiest way to sprout?

After my ear was bleeding this morning, and i went to see the ent, i decided that since i was already in town i might as well go shopping. Jackpot! Lowes had 75% off all nursery stock except mums and pansies! Luckily i had tarps from harbor freight, because hubby would have a fit if i got dirt every where. I filled the back seat and the trunk! Blueberry bushes (6), blackberry canes (3) , holly bushes (2), yews, those cedar globe bushes that get so big and a bunch of other plants, too numerous to recall. So i should have enough plants to landscape the front of the house. Plus i got chocolates on sale and a mat for the front door for under $4. And i got a couple small Xmas gifts for friends. And some xmas decor, plus a bed for the big dog for $10! :celebrate :love :thumbsup
Nice score!!

I just used my plastic window boxes that had some potting soil in them. Dipped out some wheat seeds that had been soaking overnight in the fermenting bucket & stirred them in the soil & added water. When the plants get 3 inches high, i'm gonna set the planters in the pens. Wheat is a Winter grass so the cold won't kill it.
