So Robert, Not sure what I have told and not told so forgive in advance.
He is home yes, resolved ? sadly, no. We were at a bad hospital I should of insisted on transfer. He got home and seen all his "goodys" gone and moved around and had a meltdown. Thats what autistic people do and we were expecting it. What we werent expecting was the steroid rage. He didnt get violent or anything but he has good control. He wanted to and thats enough for me. I called his primary and she is very concerned. She called in a new sugar machine for him, contradicted the hospital and said do NOT give him laxitive as his bowels could burst. He still has not gone to the bathroom since last saturday and not only does he have a blockage but above that his bowels are distended . The hospital is assuming he is ok. No tests done to see if the iv steroids they gave him is working or not. I requested the ct scan and the blockage is severe. his primary wants to see him monday am and also informed me at the first sign of stomach pain or nausea to call 911 and get him to a DIFFERENT er. She said if he tries to refuse me to call the police and have them call her. They will get him in. I hope it dont come to that. Im not sure how strong I am. I assume she will baker act him.
I have never wanted to see and or smell poop so bad in my life.
