Granny's gone and done it again

Its about 40 where I am, but I have a closed in porch where I keep the birds so there is no wind that could get to him. They are currently on some fleece that I sprayed down (has to be dry by now). I wanted to have them out there for the initial spray so that when I take them inside, there isn't as much grossness in my bathroom.
haha! They are chickens. There will be grossness!

Just pulled the squash out of the oven has been in there since this afternoon started at 350* then down to 250* for most of that time, was really watery this year so was trying to "dry it out" before putting it in containers and then freezer camp. It is now "good enough" and cooling in roaster.

Of all the food you put up, how much do you actually use vs end up throwing it away? My freezer is kind of like a black hole. Stuff goes in and seems to get lost in there... never makes it back out, at least not to the dinner table. Animals usually end up eating it.

Honestly the vast majority of it gets ate by humans. And last years green beans will work great for a vitamin/naicine supplement for the lings. Around here NOTHING actually makes it to the trash.
