Not much, hubs doesn't like too much salt, but you can always add it after. My favorite salt is coarse Kosher (like pretzel salt). I love my meat salty.

mom used veggie oil. I think real butter would burn befor it wilted but what do I know

I think some nurses just have no idea and are in a hurry. I always would take out flu shots far enough in advance that they would be at least at room temperature. Then roll them between my hands to warm.
