So Hailey got her "Official" IYAK tag installed today and Fifth of Porter got the other type just so I can identify him with out groping. Granola and either nip or tuck had escaped the paddock. Martinika's wound I am not sure about OMG the stench almost heaved as did Rod. Got all of the puss squeezed out I think scrubbed the area with iodine and then doused it with Vetracycline. Think I will pick up some penniciline yet this week. All of the calves got their booster shot of 7-way. Except Martinika we forgot about doing that as we were so busy working on the wound. Looks like just 2 small holes/bites.

It's very strange for her to have that, and it sounds deep. Do you think some dirtbag shot her? What else do you have on the property that could have caused it? I guess she could have been "horned" but 2 spots so close together doesn't make sense. Get the penicillin for her and hopefully it will clear. Did you trim away the hair from around it? The hair can keep it from healing. I guess you are past fly season, but keep an eye out for maggots. Poor Martinika. Hope she gets better soon.

OH MY !!! to the already having a dishwasher.

We brushed/combed out all the matted bits but didn't shave or trim. No sizzors. NOT horn punctures to small. either a bug bite or possibly she got poked by a stick or something like that.

I have pretty much always had a dishwasher except before we got married. This place has a nice kitchen but no dishwasher, i guess because it was just a vacation home. I am getting a dishwasher, already ordered.:wee
