Back again! It is not as cold out there as i feared. The chickens were glad for extra food. The leaves had blown up against the hot wire again. I definitely need to move it further off the ground.

Oh and the reason for the wait on the vet is he is booked solid pg a lot of ranchers herd. Then usually the "open" not preggers get a trip to the sales barn. Especially this year with the tremdous hay shortage around here. They (ranchers) just can't afford to do second chances.

Well that stinks. You had best treat her yourself. By the time the vet gets to her she will either be better or dead!

Thinking of doing both actually I will run to the ranch supply store where I get the vaccines and see what they suggest.

Don't forget about tetanus. I lost a kid once even though i had vaccinated him when disbudded. It was awful. I tried everything. The vet said he never saw one last that long. It was very unpleasant.
