My neighbours do that. Not acceptable IMO. Your birds, you are responsible for caring for them and providing a swift and merciful death if needed.

We don’t have predator problems *knocks on wood* sometimes hawks and buzzards in the summer but there’s plenty of cover to hide.

they run wild in the keys in Fl. Some are meant to be caged and some are not. I never locked my bantys up in Ky. they could and would fly and roost where they wanted to.

Not unless it can shoot 10ft. I’ve walked past him while locking up at dark and he jumps off the roof then runs. I don’t look at him or talk. I don’t even use a flashlight half the time lol

Is there a way to tell if christmas lights are indoor/outdoor ?

I'm not sure Granny but I believe that if they were usable outside, they would be tagged as such
