I just heard that stupid hawk screaming outside. Or did I? We have a mockingbird that does a wicked good hawk call.

Now I'm never sure. Maybe the mocker calling keeps away the real hawks. No more kestrel killings, so I've been letting out the seramas, but think I am pushing my luck.

hmm, with your weather you could get a parrot and train it . teach it to say SHOO or beat it then teach it to make predator sounds !

I have had that happen with my MIL. Critical of everything, until I tell her it was her darling perfect son that did/made it, and she suddenly realizes it is a great idea (even if it really was my idea

I think somebody would have to pay me a LOT of money to keep a parrot. Biggest babies ever. They are better off wild so they can use their smarts.
