I've only had peanut sauce once at a Vietnamese restaurant. I can't remember what the dish I had was called, but it was delicious. Like cold meat and shredded lettuce over warm rice? It was a big bowl. I've never had such delicious food. It was a literal hole-in-the-wall place in New Orleans.

That is probably Rama. Usually made with fresh spinach but ohhhh so good!

I said lettuce but meant cabbage.

I remember pho on the menu. Bun maybe? I wanted to go back when we visited this summer, but couldn't quite remember where it was. :/

I was wrong, it was noodles and not rice. BUT SO GOOD. And cold, which was perfect because it's always so darn hot in New Orleans.

It's okay. It all the same meat and spices as pho. Here they just call them rice bowls or noodle bowls... But it's really yummy and refreshing.
