Went outside. Saw my moms nice chair for her deck table with a gazillion little bb holes. Almost had a heart attack until my mom walked behind me and said, can you believe your dad did that!!!!!!! I thought it was the boys.

Poor pupIs there any way to plan for their shooting times so you and Oly can go out instead?
Some idiot lit off a couple of BIG fireworks here last night, just two about five minutes apart -- it was the big, commercial type mortar style ones, sounded like bloody explosions and shook the windows (honestly, first thought after the first one was meth lab - how sad is that....). Poor Z went into a full on panic attack and it took a good hour of she and I sitting in the den (darkest, quietest, smallest room in the house) for her to settle back down and relax.
Sounds like a place I'd not want to do business with again -- once is "maybe the person is having a really crappy day" - twice is "this is how they do business here". Had to LOL at the end, though.
YES!
Though, for me, it will always be pussy willows.........my dad would start watching every time we'd drive somewhere as spring was coming on and as soon as he spotted some he'd pull over, hop out and cut them - that is when we knew spring was springing! I had to smile when we first got out here and I noticed a small vase with some in it on my sister's mantle -- she told me that last spring she was driving along, spotted them and next thing she knew she was out cutting them without even realizing what she was doing.
Agreed - the kids have lived in chaos their entire lives, it is not surprising that they are chaotic themselves -- I think the suggestion I saw earlier of some counseling (for individuals and the family) is excellent, but know it's probably a stretch right now and unlikely that your DD/SIL would avail themselves if it were available. I feel badly for the kids, yes the behavior is unacceptable, but it is a symptom rather than the problem. Rough spot all around for you to be in @granny hatchet
Love the picture.
As the the rant - well, we all need to do that now and then, you are not being whiny. I hear you on the degree issue -- it used to be people valued experience, but anymore it's all about that piece of paper......
YAY for two bathrooms!
I think that is my only complaint about this house - one bathroom....and a small one at that!
Got up and got the fam to church this morning. We left straight after back to the consignment shop. They were pretty snotty again, but I kept my cool and encouraged them (repeatedly) to update their policies on their Facebook page. Anyway, went to lunch and came back to a $50 check! I think I could've made more at a garage sale, but it was certainly easy. They took all my items (I was worried they'd refuse some for not being stylish enough) but one of bubba's tiny suits that had some spots on it. I can wash it and bring it back. I'll bring shoes and stuff, too, next time. They didn't have much for big kids, and I didn't find the prices or selection to be all that great. But maybe the baby clothes are better. They told me "all your stuff was so cute!" And said "I KNOOOOOW!!" And then I said "oops. I mean thank you."

So you didn't get your shopping done for you pretty daughter? Such a bummer. Did you get the 50 in money or credit? You can hopefully get what you need now from a different store.
