the reason I went to check on the baby today was because I heard a rooster crow from the barn. She is the only one in there and I had just rehomed the extras. I thought maybe one had escaped when I kept them in there over night and I didnt notice it gone.  Thats when I noticed the baby dead and mama kept calling it to come to her.   Had to of been her making that noise

Then maybe she didn't kill it

Have you raised ducks before Camping ? They/mine were so messy. they stunk all the time.

Camping, I know adult male muscovies are almost twice the size of the females. Are you noticing any size difference in the ducklings?

Its possible but unlikely. they were in a good brooder with everything they needed . Nothing could get to them but I guess it could of been natural causes, choked on something maybe..
