Granny's gone and done it again

That's why I let the mamas do everything. Not my fault! The very first duckling I had was by itself. Looked newly hatched and he lived in the house as a baby under a light. He loved to swim in a basin outside in the sun. I would watch him and when he looked to be slowing down, I'd set him on the warm concrete for a nap. If he struggled when I tried to lift him out then I knew he wasn't quite ready to come out yet. He was my baby. I loved that duck.

They would be famous for being sexable at hatch then, so I figured they would mostly be the same size. I had to ask... just in case. How many are you keeping?

I haven't been given a limit.

If they're as good at clearing ponds and eating mosquitoes as we've heard, DH may want 15 more. I think 8 is a good starter number.

Well, you can keep then all then, except the one you are going to send to me.

Are they going to be free range? Give them an island/raft instead of a coop? They are good fliers and will go high up in trees to roost. They have an extra hook or something with their feet that allow them to climb well.

and dinner the tour has started. dogs crunching and munching as they go from food dish to the office or outside Yuri usually cheats grabs a mouth full and then comes by me spits them all out and then eats them except of the ones he "looses" in his lips
