Twist, what would it hurt to raise some of those not-ducks and home them out there where it floods with the yaks ?

that's what I was sort of thinking I could give them sort of a coop in the horse barn BUT I have heard so many horror stories about ducks eating the insulation off of wires on/under vehicles I am a little afraid.

I never heard that before. seems almost impossible for them to chew wire.

maybe I will try them in a couple years and after I read how they do for camping. Besides still hunting my forever breed of chicken. Trying both New Hampshire and Deleware

theres no such thing. they will all have something you will both like and dislike about them. You will get tired of one after a while and off to the next. I am beginning to wonder if my favorite breed of chicken is a turkey ! hahahaa

there are a few Russian Olive trees in the big pasture none in the tit BUT if I can raise and convince them that the horse barn is their home maybe they will continue to use it after they are larger.

no predators there ?
