I ve had cornbread & soup(chicken, rice, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, celery). But now i want a fried HOECAKE.

is that the same as flap jacks.thats what my mother called them.cornbread made like pancakes..

her oldest is 26 youngest is 13.she goes to lexington a lot to see them and they were all here Thanksgiving.her son the one 13 stays with his dad.Thanksgiving was a hard time here i hardly remember who all was here...Thats when we buried my bil and everyone came back to my house.i'm lucky i had all the left overs for them..They had good food and i was happy to see them.some i hadn't met before like my nieces now have hubbys and children.

that was a full house ! Left overs are the best . yummmm... Im sorry about your BIL sad right there at the holidays.

love cabbage soup. never made it. we call flapjacks pancakes and hoecakes are fried cornbread.

what kind of cancer did he have ?

ok i love fried cornbread.i usually make it in the summer when i don't want the oven on..Cabbage soup is easy and good.i like it better than veggie soup.I make cornbread muffins with it..

making me hungry. LOL No one here wants veggies so I dont make big pots very often but I love the veggie soup w/neck bones. (pork).

everytime Jane tells what she had for dinner she makes me hungry. LOL
