guess thats why people used to brand their cows . Do they still do that ? Unless you get them mixed up (you wont) or they stampede I would just keep them safe in a drawer.

yea they do, very big with Brahman show breeders still here. Most angus get ear tags and tattoos.

most still brand up here but those get pricey as well and as "fuzzy" as yaks get you wouldn't see the brand anyway

works for me and I think every one else on the thread. Especially since I can't get Porter's head into a squeeze chute or a head gate.

there is no way on God's green earth I am going to try to give Porter a tattoo not even sure about the calves any more. Although I still need to haul Hailey in to be bangs vaccinated before next june.
