Granny's gone and done it again

Quote: Giant exercise ball here. Slightly deflated to give more bounce.

Haha
LOL - been there/done that -- except it was off the roof of the house and onto the trampoline.  The thought being it would give an AWESOME bounce, the reality was not so much -- turns out your knees just buckle and you fall down.  I was the baby so I was the guinea pig for all of the grand schemes we kids came up with -- and favorite object for all test launches, like the "big blue marshallow" we had one summer --- old water bed mattress blown up HUGE with air, put small person on one side and have large person jump onto it from the other side = small person getting impressive flight time.

That would be DH -- I feel he got cheated out of so much of the adventure of childhood for not having partners in crime.

LOL

It is effective for weight loss, but what's the long range plan?
hahahahaha

Me and my brother used to jump off the top of our shed and my parents did not like that

I is single child!

That's what I had hoped for  but then  that particular  thought/memory escaped thru the cobwebs and was gone.

LOL

We're off sugar (inuding fruits) and most carbs (including all grains and root vegs). We just reintroduced brown rice. And we get cheat times, but I had a cookie at breakfast. :hide I've dropped 10 lbs in 3 weeks which is a good rate. I also ate TONS of cookie dough last week when I was making tea cakes.

There's 3 phases- phase 1 is no sugar no carbs. But carbs are important, so we kept carrots and corn. We also didn't use sugar substitutes or margarine, because I'm not about fake foods. Low-fat dairy is fine.

Phase 2 reintroduces carbs- squashes, potatoes, brown rice and whole grains, even boxed cereal as long as it meets the protein/fiber/sugar requirements.

Each phase is 2 weeks long, just under long enough to form good habits. :/ phase 3 is maintenance, a continuing lifetime of understanding food values and making good choices.

We did this program once before years ago. DH lost 45 lbs, but we started faltering when we were pursuing our current job and waiting for the right time for it. It was extremely stressful, and I was deeply depressed from undiagnosed PPD, so I stopped cooking as much.

But now we're doing great again! I'm not as strict as DH is. Sometimes I'll have honey in my coffee, or full-fat milk. A lady cooked for us Sunday and we ate dinner rolls and drank sweet tea, because it would be rude not to. DH is also following and exercise routine.

Sorry for getting so long-winded, but I just like this program. I can eat unlimited veggies and like 2 cups of dairy a day, if I bothered to measure. Right now I'm just trying to listen to my body, drink more water, and be mindful of my decisions. Being home all day, the brainless snacking was my downfall.

Camping what is the name of it?

It's the south beach diet. There's a book to use for the science of it all, but I just use it for the list of foods to eat and the recipes. They have a really good vegetarian chili that we add meat to and the whole family loves.

Lol! They're actually really big, so it is scary. Some people just laugh when I tell them and they don't believe me! I'm like "do you wanna go face those geese?". They don't respond.

We actually have to go pick up feed tomorrow. Hopefully the geese stay inside their hut.

Awe! Have fun delivering! My mom always tells me it was so fun to deliver the gifts and make fake Santa prints near the fireplace.

Hope your grandson starts to feel better, Granny.
