Granny's gone and done it again

That's what I've heard! I was going to get Mille Fluer's, but decided on Cochins instead. :)

Lebanon is just about the same drive length Columbus is for us. :) We are in Bowling Green, OH, so a few hours to each place. Thank you for this information! I've heard MPC's birds are pretty bad show quality wise, but never knew about them being a "middle man". We are thinking about getting our birds from Eagle's Nest Poultry in Ohio....they're supposed to have show quality birds and they have been recommended from some of our "showing friends". They just don't have mottled Cochins so I'm thinking of starting out with Black Cochins and getting Mottled ones in a few years. I have heard ON's are HUGE and the birds get bought soon! Again, thanks so much for this info!

this place is in Ohio. They don't have australops though but lots of pretty birds.

There is a guy on BYC that has a bss americauna project going. Think his name has rattlesnake ridge in it.

Nope. Regular chicken sounds.

Walking on a leash with challenge Bandit's brain more then his body. Mental stimulation/exercise makes physical stimulation/exercise more effective. So a 20-minute walk on leash and a 10-minute training session will wear him out good!

ok, I will try it. Thank you. I have been wanting to do more training with him but the other dogs distract him and not sure where to do it.

Keep him on a leash while you're training. He'll pay more attention and can't run away. Put the other dogs outside or in your room? I have to put Jewel away to train Jasper, especially is treats are involved.

Yep camping is right. People don't realize how much work it is to train a puppy. Only neeed to do it a short time a day but you need to do every day.

(Or try to)

I have tried that. they scratch on the door and bark to get in and that riles him up. I guess none of them are trained very good. LOL

My Star must be the perfect dog. I only had to show her once what I wanted and she didnt forget. I never taught her to heel but she did that automatically . I even took her with me downtown where a lot of houses were and she would heel. Never had a leash on her . When I first got her I took her straight outside and peed in the yard.. she followed suit and Never had an accident.
