LOL A lot of people dont know the drawer under modern day stoves isnt made for lids but is a warming dawer. Designed to keep your cooked foods warm til the rest is done.
 
We had an old wood cooking range in the farmhouse when we moved in. Not as nice as yours. It was cool, but kind of a pain to use. When dad took it out, he just left it outside behind the shed by the creek. Don't know what ever happened to it. Probably a trip to the dump.

I would love to have my gas stove back. It had a built in griddle between the 4 burners that was some sort of non stick and even had a grease drain built in. Made all the pancakes at once while you fried the bacon.
